Women's Therapeutic Services is a physical therapy program which uses a variety of therapeutic modalities to treat incontinence, pelvic pain or pain and dysfunction during and after pregnancy. These modalities may include use of a state of the art biofeedback and gentle electrical stimulation equipment, manual therapy and therapeutic exercises that can help to relieve pain and improve muscle strength.
Lymphedema Therapy
Lymphedema is the swelling of a body part, due to abnormal accumulation of protein rich fluid. This is a condition that can occur from a deficient or damaged lymphatic system.
Our goal at Woman's Therapeutic Services is to provide education to woman who may be at risk for Lymphedema, often after breast or pelvic surgery, to assist in prevention.
For those who have Lymphedema, Woman's Therapeutic Services uses a comprehensive program of Manual Lymphatic Drainage, compression bandaging, skin care and exercise to achieve maximal edema reduction and to teach the patient skills to manage this condition.
